Mayor Asks Officials to Pay Special Attention to Prajavani Complaints

Hyderabad: GHMC Mayor Gadwal Vijayalakshmi has directed the officials to pay special attention to Prajavani complaints and resolve them expeditiously. The Mayor, along with the corporation officials received representations from people from all over the city for the prajavani held at the GHMC headquarters on Monday.
Speaking on the occasion, she asked them about their problems and instructed the respective officials to solve the problems. Vijayalakshmi directed the officials of the respective departments to resolve the complaints received in the public domain from time to time and resolve the issues without any delay. He asked the officials to inform in writing stating the reasons for the same.
Five requests have been received through the phone-in programme and have been sent to the authorities concerned for redressal by her. Of the 35 requests received in the Prajavani programme held at the GHMC headquarters, the town planning department received the highest number of 19 complaints, followed by three for the ENC department, two each for the tax section, UBD and sanitation departments, one each for CM&HO, Electrical, LWS, Veterinary, HMWSSB, LAO and IT departments.
A total of 80 applications were received in the six zones under the GHMC limits. Of these, 42 complaints were received in Kukatpally zone, 13 in Serilingampally zone, nine in Secunderabad zone, 11 in LB Nagar zone and five in Charminar zone.
Additional Commissioners Shiva Kumar Naidu, Raghu Prasad, Nalini Padmavathi, Satyanarayana, Yadagiri Rao, Geetha Radhika, Pankaja, Saroja, UBD Director Srinivas, Additional CCP Gangadhar, ACP Sudarshan, CE Bhaskar Reddy, Water Works DGM Sai Ramana, Estate Officer Srinivas Reddy, Housing SE Krishna Rao, E E P V Ramana, Rajeshwar Rao, Deputy CE Panasa Reddy, Chief Veterinary Doctor Abdul Vakil, JC Venugopal Reddy and others were present.
